In 2005 we created our first shock mitigation seats in response to the requirements of a team attempting a round Britain RIB challenge. The requirements were simple, the seats had to be;

Amazed that no other shock mitigation seat on the market could fulfil all these requirements CoastalPro was founded to offer shock mitigation and injury reduction solutions to all boat owners.

We are very proud that our CP10XR model is still the only seat on the market which truly fulfils the above requirements.

Since 2009 our range has expanded to include additional solutions for commercial, military and custom OEM boat builders all over the world.

We take pride in the time, energy and skill invested from the first stages of developing a new shock mitigation seat, to the after care service our customers receive when they choose a CoastalPro product.

Each part is designed by aeronautical engineers working to ensure the finished product will be able to endure a lifetime of use in the harsh sea environment, whilst being lightweight and effective.

In order to ensure each individual part of every seat meets this task it undergoes extensive computer aided analysis, laboratory testing and real life testing aboard one of our test boats. During this stage the seat is also monitored for shock mitigation performance.

Once we are happy with the products ability to provide a long, reliable life together with a high level of protection to its occupant then we are proud to offer it to our customers.
